Our Mission

Central’s InterVarsity chapter longs for growth that is both Deep and Wide. We want to be people who Know and Live deeply with God and one another. We also want to be making a difference on campus, in our community and globally. We are committed to see width as we Invite and Influence. We want to invite our neighbors to consider Jesus and see renewal on our campus, influencing our world by pursuing kingdom values of justice, compassion and hope.

InterVarsity

On more than 600 campuses in the nation, IVCF is an interdenominational evangelical ministry to colleges and universities with a passion to see lives transformed, campuses renewed and world changers developed. InterVarsity came to the United States in 1941 and has had a presence at Central College since the late 1970’s. Affiliated in the 1980’s it has seen hundreds of students come and go, growing in their love for God, his Word, his people of every ethnicity and culture and his purposes in the world. Students are called to see themselves as missionaries on campus, Christ’s ambassadors in a unique and crucial time in life.
