Holiday Greetings From the Fyfe Family!

"IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME"

[Stephen, Abby, Rachel, Rebekah & Lisa at the "Field of Dreams"]

Welcome to the ninth edition of our Christmas web page! This years theme is "If you...". We hope you enjoy catching up with some of our activities of the past year. We would love to hear from you!

Rachel is in 5th grade and enjoys school. She still plays the violin and recently began playing the flute. Abby is in 3rd grade, and likes school, too. She also enjoys swimming and is on the swim team, in addition to taking piano lessons. Rebekah is in pre-school and is glad to finally be able to go to school like her sisters. She also loves to go to her art class, take swimming lessons, and make new friends.

This year we held the annual Fyfe family gathering at a new location which was slightly off the beaten path. Once everyone arrived, an enjoyable weekend was had by all. I think we all agreed that it was an excellent place to hold a family reunion.

If you are able to go to Hawaii in January, then you definately will enjoy the sun. We (parents only!) cashed in our airline miles for plane tickets and spent a wonderful week tooling around the island of Kauai. In July, the entire family spent a few very hot days enjoying the sites of St. Louis and taking in a Cubs-Cardinals game (Go Cubs!). As you might be able to tell from the pictures, it was quite hot - and the girls did not always like the heat! But some cold snow cones at the ball game were a good way to cool off. Unfortunately the Cubs lost this game.

We are thankful that each of our girls has been blessed with some very good friends, only a few of which can be pictured here.

Most of you know that we are going to be gone for a few months starting in January. For those of you who don't know, we will be living in Merida, Mexico (the Yucatan) next semester while Stephen teaches in Central's program there. We are leaving January 9th and should return about the middle of May. We will still be able to check our email (fyfes@central.edu or fyfel@central.edu) and are looking foward to keeping in touch while we are gone. I guess you know what most of our pictures will be of next year!

We hope and pray that you find inspiration in this blessed season. Have a good year! Look for some pics from Merida! As always, remember to:

"Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can."
